I believe that many modern disease diagnoses are labels for a ‘dis-ease’ in a unique body - something that went out of balance and that could be 'eased' back in. That’s why I am here: to help you understand what is going on in your body by looking at all symptoms and imbalances and determine the best way to 'ease' your way back to feeling good again.
Functional Health Coaching is an integrative healing process that takes account of the whole person. Client and practitioner are partners in the healing process. All factors that influence health, wellness, and disease are taken into consideration, including mind, body spirit, and community.
The holistic health coaching process views our body as a whole, integrated system, looking at the way all the systems in the body work together rather than isolating single organs and dividing them up into medical specialties. I seek to identify the root cause of your symptoms, correct any imbalances and find long-lasting healing that supports the body, mind, and spirit as a whole. It is completely personalized to you!
My goal is to help you take control of your health, heal and live a vibrant life. I integrate both primary and secondary essentials for optimal health into my approach to healing so that you can achieve a balanced lifestyle: eating whole foods, reducing stress, optimizing sleep, learning to love self unconditionally, addressing and releasing traumas, cultivating spirituality, and much more. You will gain individualized information, tools and resources to make positive lifestyle choices. We are all bio-individual with completely different chemical and bio-physical needs. Your individual plan will be based on your unique health and lifestyle issues, needs, situation, not a one-size-fits-all diet or wellness program.
Relationships, exercise, career and spirituality are just as important to your health as the food you eat. The reason we experience “dis-ease” goes way beyond the physical body. I’m here to help you find it. To help you reach your wellness goals, we look at the "whole" self. In doing so, we get to the root cause of what has prevented you from attaining your goals to help you achieve vibrant health. We take a very close look at your body and MINIMIZE what is harmful in order to start healing; we add in what's needed to MAXIMIZE healing; and then PRIORITIZE the necessary ingredients for creating an environment for healing, supporting and guiding you every step of the way.
Being healthy doesn't have to be hard! We will look at all areas of your life and weave everything inter-connectedly. My approach follows the principle of 'bio-individuality' which simply means that each of us has unique body, food and lifestyle needs. It is important we determine yours to ensure success in identifying a customized plan based on your specific needs. We will adjust and overcome barriers as needed and create lasting lifestyle change.
Who needs a coach? "Everyone needs a coach," according to Bill Gates in his opening words of his TED Talk with impact. Whether you're a basketball, player, tennis player, gymnast or a bridge player we all need people to provide feedback, push us beyond our limits, and drive us to change.
